Job Information

The successful candidate will be located in our Future Boise, Idaho office working with our engineers across the country to produce construction drawings for water and wastewater pump stations and treatment facilities. The successful candidate will work with a team priding itself on excellence in client service and production of innovative and cost effective solutions to complex engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare design documents, layouts, and construction plans from a conceptual design sketch
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment to facilitate successful project execution
  • Establish and adhere to QA/QC criteria and standards, and review CAD drawings developed by others for adherence to criteria and standards
  • Take ownership of content and presentation of developed projects

Minimum Requirements:

  • Team player with ability to work independently;
  • Experience in developing detailed designs for complex municipal and industrial pump stations and treatment facilities;
  • Ability to interpret and develop detailed drawings from sketches and mark-ups provided by engineers;
  • Experience and proficiency using the AutoCAD® suite of products, including Plant 3d, Trimble QuickPen PD3d, MEP, and P&ID;
  • Experience developing 2D design drawings generated from 3D models.

Job Description:

You will collaborate with a talented group of professionals in an open and friendly work environment, where personal and professional growth is supported and hard work is rewarded.  In this position you will assist in delivering water and wastewater, planning, design, and construction services projects.  You will be involved with and responsible for a wide variety of interesting assignments, including:

  • Working with Senior and PHD level process engineers
  • Delivering exceptional client service
  • Planning and designing improvements to water, wastewater conveyance and treatment systems
  • Assisting with technical memoranda, engineering reports, and planning studies

The mid-level civil engineer position provides excellent growth opportunities to develop solid technical skills, strong communication skills, and leadership positions in all disciplines.

Requirements:

  • BS (MS preferred) in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an ABET accredited school
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • 4+ years of relevant civil engineering experience

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Experience with water and/or wastewater planning and design projects including wastewater collection, wastewater pumping, water supply and distribution, and water and/or wastewater treatment projects
  • Interest in mentoring junior staff
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and MS Project
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with multiple priorities
  • Attention to detail, quality work products, and client service
